The Martin Chair-A-Table is the flagship product line of Martin Innovations, currently consisting of the Martin Chair and the Martin Examination Table. As the only examination table in the world that couples with a wheelchair, it has garnered national attention and is the preferred choice of patients who have used the Chair-A-Table.
The Chair-A-Table consists of two major parts; the Martin Chair and the Martin Examination Table. When operated together as a complete patient transfer system they offer many advantages over existing equipment.
The Martin Chair
A patented, specially designed wheelchair. The Martin Chair looks and functions the same as any other wheelchair but there are two main differences. First, the seat has a fixture on the bottom that latches to the base of the table with a 600 pound weight limit. The Martin Chair seat becomes a segment of the Martin Examination Table. Second, the wheels, sides, back and foot rests all come completely off with the press of a button.
The Martin Exam Table
A patented power examination table. The Martin Exam Table looks and operates like any other power examination table. It has powered, articulated back and foot segments and raises and lowers the patient, but there are two main differences. First, the seat segment of the table can be removed to reveal a latch mechanism that attaches to the seat of the wheelchair. Second, the Martin Exam Table goes low enough to couple with the seat height of the wheelchair.
